Sorell on Stage embarks on adult-only adventure

AFTER winning a Tasmanian Theatre Council Errol Award in March, there are high expectations for Sorell on Stage’s next major production, “The Adult Famous Five Adventure”.

Writer and director Barry Bryan said the performance would take place in August 2016 and although it was inspired by the series of adventure novels written by Enid Blyton (“The Famous Five”), it was certainly not suitable for children.

“This show is wholly adult in content. Think Uni Revue and then some,” he said.

“The four adult characters, as well as their mutt Timmy, go on an escapade and end up meeting some very strange people indeed, blissfully unaware of the weirdness.”

The Adult Famous Five Adventure will be presented from Thursday 18 to Saturday 20 August 2016 at the Sorell Memorial Hall at 7pm each night.

Table seats will be available, with audience members encouraged to bring along their own snacks.

Drinks can be purchased from the adjoining RSL.

Tickets are available from the Sorell News Agency.
