New facilities for staff and students at Rokeby Primary School
The newly completed oval upgrade at Rokeby Primary School is now complete and ready to support students’ learning, wellbeing and development.
Member for Franklin, the Hon Julie Collins MP officially opened the new oval upgrade today.
The project involved resurfacing the oval and the installation of a watering system.
The project was delivered with Albanese Government funding of $250,000 through the Schools Upgrade Fund Round 2.
Federal Member for Franklin Julie Collins said a lot of work had gone into this project and it was fantastic to see the upgraded oval facilities at Rokeby Primary School.
“These upgrades will give students more opportunities to get outside, be active and enjoy their time at school while also providing staff with better spaces to support school activities.
“It’s an investment that will be enjoyed by the whole Rokeby community,” she said.
Minister Collins said The Albanese Government was committed to providing all schools with funding so that all students, including those at Rokeby Primary School, got the best possible education.
“The teachers, staff and students at Rokeby Primary School have built a strong and positive school community and these upgrades will help create even more opportunities for students to learn, play and thrive,” she said.
“Our government strongly believes in supporting schools so that local students can realise their potential and develop the skills they need to go on to further study or to find a job.”
