Music-lovers savour sweet sound of Clarence Jazz Festival

ORGANISERS have labelled the 2016 Clarence Jazz Festival a musical success, with people of all ages enjoying the smooth melodies of jazz at venues across the Eastern Shore.

Taking place from 21-18 February, the popular event presented 30 different acts performing a variety of jazz styles at the Jazz Lounge at Rosny Barn and Bellerive Boardwalk.

Free twilight concerts held at South Arm Oval, Montagu Bay Primary School and Simmons Park in Lindisfarne also didn’t miss a beat with dance demonstrations and a jazzercise class keeping audience members moving.

Preparations are now underway for the Clarence Jazz Festival’s 21st birthday celebrations in 2017.
