Lily Ward’s special Hobart performance

Tasmanian soprano Lily Ward is returning to Hobart for a special evening of classical music.

At 7:30pm on 6 July Ms Ward will fill the Scots Memorial Church in Hobart with an exquisite program of classical music alongside pianist Jennifer Marten-Smith and clarinettist Clare Ramsden.

Originally from the Eastern Shore, Ms Ward has had a prolific career in the classical music scene, starting at the age of 11 with Bel Canto Australia.

Since then, she has graduated from The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and the Australian National University in Canberra and received numerous accolades.

She has been a finalist in the IFAC Handa Australian Singing Competition and the Melbourne Conservatorium Concerto Aria competition, a runner-up at the ArtSound FM Young Virtuoso Awards and received the prestigious Whitworth-Roach Prize for Classical Music at ANU.

She is thrilled to be returning to her home state to perform once again.
