Keep the kids entertained this school holidays

THE winter school holidays are nearly here again which is why Eastlands is inviting children to join storytelling and Rock & Rhyme sessions as part of the Rosny Library program.

During July, families and carers with babies and toddlers up to the age of two years old are welcome for 30 minutes of fun with songs, action rhymes and short stories.

It is also an opportunity for the adults and little ones to socialise indoors out of the cold.

“It is great to be able to partner with the Rosny Library through this collaborative activity and to provide engaging and educational sessions at Eastlands for our community to enjoy during the school holidays,” Eastlands centre manager Luke Jamieson said.

Rosny Library’s Sandra Griffith said sharing rhymes, songs and stories every day with your child helped a young brain develop.

“Reading with your child every day can be fun and helps develop their listening, memory and word skills,” she said.
