Dive into swimming lessons this school holidays

By Oceana Aquatic & Fitness

THESE school holidays, Oceana Aquatic & Fitness will be running an intensive swimming program for children from four-years-of-age.

Parents who have enrolled their children in our intensive programs in the past have seen great progress in their children’s skill level over this short period of time.

The repetition over consecutive days enables children to retain information and improve skills to help their swimming, especially coming into the warmer months of the year.

Local mum Lauren said she had tried other swim schools before, but was impressed by how up-to-date Oceana’s facilities were, as well as the swimming teachers.

“We like coming to Oceana because it is clean, the staff are friendly and the pools are warm for the kids,” she said.

“The lifelong lessons my kids have learned from swimming at Oceana are amazing – Chloe and Hannah are both doing really well and we just love coming each week.”

We are currently taking bookings for this program – you can give us a call now to book your free assessment with one of our qualified swimming teachers.

This program, which includes the option of two separate five-day programs, will run from 2-13 October.

The cost is $70 for one-week (five-days), however if you call and book in by Monday 25 September, we are offering a discounted rate for booking both weeks – $120 for the 10 days.

We want your child to get the best out of their swimming program, which is why all of our teachers participate in an online training module called the World Wide Swim School, designed and developed by Laurie Lawrence.

This educational and innovative portal is where the teachers go to learn new ideas and further their knowledge.

Following the principles of Laurie’s training program, which is based on progressive teaching and the learning of basic skills, the teachers are able to make sure children understand and learn the correct sequence of skills.

This includes water familiarisation, breath control, submersion, free floating, propulsion and safety skills.

We believe mastering these skills is very important for your child to become a safe and happy swimmer.

At Oceana, we not only provide a great program nationally accredited by Royal Life Australia, but also great facilities.
