CWA Sorell celebrates milestone birthday

IT was a milestone event for the Country Women’s Association (CWA) Sorell when members gathered together in early August to celebrate the branch’s 80th birthday.

The branch’s very first meeting was held on 3 August 1937 at Sorell.

As tribute to founding members and a nod to the era, the branch’s current members donned a range of 1930s themed hats and gloves, which they wore throughout the celebratory luncheon.
