Colours abound at the Autumn Barn Market

THE popular Autumn Barn Market will be returning to the Eastern Shore this month and is set to be bursting with colour.

The seasonal event will showcase more than 40 stalls filled with Tasmanian designed and produced goods, as well as craft demonstrations, workshops and a host of buskers.

Market manager Tamsin Singleton said a number of new stallholders would be making their debut at the autumn-themed event.

“In particular, we are very excited to welcome Tas Hoop Jam to this season’s Barn Market,” Ms Singleton said.

“Marion Lucy has been running her hula hooping classes for 18-months and will be offering her workshop for both children and adults throughout the day.

“For those wishing to continue the hip-wiggling fun, there will also be a range of brightly-coloured, handcrafted hoops on sale.

“Marion’s talents don’t just lie in spinning hoops, as she will also be showcasing her children’s book, ‘The Giant Bowl of Chocolate’.”

For those wishing to add something new to their home décor, patrons need look no further than new stallholder Benni, which will feature a range of textiles, homewares and accessories depicting seascape photography by Benita Vincent.

Also retuning to the Barn Market will be Tilly Mac & Mumma, with updated homewares, Under the Shade of the Bonsai Tree, featuring Jacquie Rodemann’s new Kanazawa range of jewellery and Enchanted Acorn Flowers, with locally-grown flowers and foliage crafted into posies, bird’s nest arrangements, succulents and flower wreaths.

“Clarence City Band will be bringing their fabulous big band sound to the Barn Market and they’ll be joined by a talented bunch of buskers throughout the day,” Ms Singleton said.

“Recline on the expansive park-like gardens of Rosny Farm or in the cosy courtyard and fill up on some gourmet treats, like Wood Fiery Redhead pizza (including the autumn-themed pumpkin and feta pizza), or sip barista-made Fika coffee or a glass of Simple Cider.

“Come and celebrate the best of autumn with us and meet a talented bunch of Tasmanian makers, artists and designers.”

The Autumn Barn Market will be held on Saturday 23 April from 10am to 3pm at The Barn, Rosny Farm (between the Rosny Park Golf Course and Eastlands).
