Clarence Little Athletics winners again

FOR the third year in a row, the Clarence Little Athletics Club (CLAC) has won the Southern Cross Country Winter Centres Challenge Shield.

The shield winners are determined by a points system, which reflects placing results for each age group and each round run between April and August.

Rounds are held at various locations in the greater Hobart area every second Saturday during winter.

CLAC secretary Amanda Robertson said the club was thrilled to take out the shield once again.

“We are really happy with the CLAC performance,” she said.

“We have had great participation of members over the season and this is very much reflected in the results.

“Thank you once again to all our sponsors for their support and the great fundraising through the canteen and other events.”

CLAC is currently preparing for the 2015-16 cross country season and will be holding a registration barbecue day on Sunday 27 September.

The event will be held at Clarence High School with registration available between 10am to 12pm.

There will also be a range of “come and try” activities from 10.30am.

New and returning athletes are welcome to attend.
