Clarence City Big Band celebrates 20-years

THE Clarence City Big Band (formally the CC Stage Band) is ushering in its 20th anniversary year with a special cabaret-style concert and dinner.

Held at the Italian Club in North Hobart, the concert will include a performance of “Big Band” favourites with the addition of special guest vocalists Jamie and Lisa Scott.

The cast of “The Crooners”, John X and Andrew Colrain, will MC the evening and will also be performing a few numbers.

Band member Robyn Kramer said past and present band members and the public were invited to attend the celebratory concert and enjoy a three-course meal while being entertained by the band.

“During the two one-hour sets, the band will be playing an eclectic mix of Big Band pieces that have featured in its repertoire during the past 20-years, as well as new pieces from the present,” she said.

“A highlight of the event will also be an alumni performance, where past members will join present band members to perform a couple of old hits.

“The evening will be suitable for all ages to attend and enjoy.”

The Clarence City Big Band Anniversary Concert will be held at 7pm on Saturday 1 July at the Italian Club, located in Federal Street, North Hobart.

Tickets cost $60 and include the concert and a three-course meal.

Tickets are available online at www.stickytickets.com.au/52469 or by contacting Michelle Garland on 0401 009 325.
