Become a meet and greet volunteer

THE City of Hobart is on the lookout for passionate volunteers to join its visitor volunteer program at the Hobart International Airport.

Since it’s beginning in 2009, the program has seen many committed volunteers offer a warm welcome and friendly assistance to Tasmania’s many visitors.

There are currently new opportunities for “meet and great” volunteers at the Hobart Airport, who will provide invaluable local information to visitors.

Hobart Airport is one of Australia’s fastest growing airports, with more than 2.4 million passengers passing through its doors annually.

Volunteers will help visitors through the arrivals and departure process, share information about Hobart and its surrounding areas and help visitors find out about things to see and do.

City of Hobart meet and greet volunteers are supported through the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre, with regular information sessions, uniform items, free parking and plenty of expert knowledge about Tasmania.

If you love helping people and have a good knowledge of the state, you can find out more about this volunteering opportunity by phoning Alex Heroys on 6238 4299.
