| Get ready for round the river fun run and walk |

DON’T let all your hard work over summer go to waste. Now is the time to stay active and keep exercising through the Winter months. And what better motivation than to set yourself some goals? The annual Pace Financial Services community fun run and walk on 22 April is the perfect motivation to keep in shape. This event, now in its 24th year, is the only event of its kind run on the Eastern Shore. Eastern Suburbs Athletics Club will again be hosting the event. Club President Jarrod Gibson said the event is the perfect opportunity for Eastern Shore residents of all ages and abilities to test themselves over the distances. Courses range from 2.5km (aimed at under 13 participants), 5km and 10km. The 5km and 10km events should appeal to all runners and walkers, and usually also attract the best runners and race walkers in the state. Medals will be awarded for first place getters, and all entrants have the opportunity to receive spot prizes at the event’s conclusion. All participants under 13 years in the 2.5km race will receive prizes. Further details and an entry form are located on the Eastern Suburbs website or contact Dee Atkinson, phone 6248 1496. Entry is on the day. Events will start an hour earlier than last year. The event is likely to follow the first race of the Athletics South winter cross country competition.
