Lots to do at Kinder Cottage

THE Kinder Cottage in Lindisfarne is a place with great history and an equally great future!

The Cottage was previously a kindergarten and preschool that operated four mornings a week. It is now offering the same kindergarten/preschool program, with qualified teachers on staff, in a long daycare setting.

The Kinder Cottage children enjoy a walk around the community, from left, Connor Marriott, aged 3, Tilly Sweeney, 4, Julius Patiniotis, 3, Fergus Jacobs, 3, Nikolas Papastamatis, 4, Maeve Jacobs, 3, Betty Lawson, 3. Ben Paradisis , 5, is between Maeve and Betty on the right hand side but is squatting down and wearing his blue hat so is hard to see.

Children aged from three to five years enjoy a morning of kindergarten/preschool activities including outdoor play, art and craft, music, stories and learning, relating to a different focus topic every fortnight.  The afternoon program is an extension of this learning, with more children’s choice of activities.  Upcoming focus topics include ‘Australia’, ‘The Olympic Games’ and ‘Looking after ourselves and our environment’.  The puzzles, games, activities and books available for the children to explore also change every fortnight to ensure every visit to The Kinder Cottage is a different and exciting experience.

The Kinder Cottage has vacancies throughout the week and would love to get to know some more children.
