Breast cancer awareness with local Bakers Delight team
GRANT and Jasmine Hopwood at Bakers Delight Lindisfarne are looking forward to a special fund-raising campaign for breast cancer this year.  As with all Bakers Delight franchises the breast cancer awareness program is a high priority.  This year, Grant and Jasmine have decided to go ‘all out’ for breast cancer awareness choosing a special ‘family’ day on Mother’s Day to raise money for the worthwhile cause. Bakers Delight Lindisfarne will join with Lindisfarne Village Gourmet Meats to offer a sausage sizzle, proceeds of which will go to the Breast Cancer Network Australia. Special pink lady cardboard cut outs will also be on sale and if you buy one, you can write your own message on the pink lady which will be displayed in the shop.

For the children, a jumping castle will be set up on the forecourt outside the shop and other special activities are also being planned.

Grant said the team at Bakers Delight Lindisfarne wanted to show something special in its support of breast cancer awareness.

‘We really wanted to demonstrate our support and Mother’s Day is a great day to show how important we, as a community, view the issue of breast cancer and support research into fighting it.  We are also delighted that Robbie at Lindisfarne Village Gourmet Meats is able to help us on the day,” Grant said.

The 2008 Pink Bun Campaign marks eight years of Bakers Delight’s support for breast cancer awareness.
