Sorell launches its B Happy project
SORELL Council’s B Happy project was launched by Mayor Carmel Torenius last month. The program will engage three to five-year-olds from Council’s Malunna Child Care Centre and Panda Bears Community Playgroup in a variety of age-appropriate activities focusing on nutrition, physical activity and wellbeing.
Some of the children in the B Happy program enjoy healthy fruit snacks.

Activities will include sessions run by council staff, specialist guest deliverers and excursions within and beyond the Sorell community.

This project is an extension of the council’s existing healthy intervention program currently catering for five to 18-year-olds through the following projects B+ve (5-12 year olds), BINFORMED (13-18-year-olds) and B READY (learner driver program).

B HAPPY is funded by a grant from the Tasmanian Early Years Foundation.
