| Name change reflects Zonta’s territory |

THE active community service club, Zonta Club of Storm Bay, has recently undergone a name change and will now be known as the Zonta Club of Hobart East.
Mayor of Clarence Jock Campbell, and Mayor of Sorell Carmel Torenius, welcomed the change of name at a function recently hosted by the Clarence City Council.  • Launching the new name of the Zonta Club of Hobart East, from left, Carmel Torenius, Mayor of Sorell, Lois Green, president of Zonta Club of Hobart East, and Jock Campbell, Mayor of Clarence. Both Mayors acknowledged the inspirational service Zonta has provided to the Eastern Shore over the past 10 years, and expressed their approval of the name change since the new name will now be more appropriately linked to Zonta’s work in both municipalities. Zonta has assisted several community groups and other service organisations over the past decade through service activities and funding grants. Many representatives from those organisations attended the name change event. Zonta will continue to assist women and girls by advancing the status of women in the Eastern Shore community, and is welcoming enquiries from individuals and groups who would like to discuss opportunities for service activities. Zonta has also urged women working in any business or profession to become a member of the club.
