Peppermint Bay, 3435 Channel Highway, Woodbridge
WE headed off to Peppermint Bay to the Locals Bar for lunch. This is a very different experience to the more formal dining room. They are both great dining spaces and we all had a great time. One of the more astonishing dishes was a dessert called chocolate nemesis (stout ice cream) which was fantastic.

One of the Slab Road slappers decided on the vegetable soup with pearl barley and sourdough bread ($13.90) which was an incredibly generous serve, and poor Pat paled
in the fight! The beer battered fish served with chips ($23.90) was another favoured dish by the group.

We also decided to try the Craigow Sauvignon Blanc at the recommendation of our stylish young waiter. This wine had just won a major competition in New Zealand. It
was smashing, and worked with all of the different dishes we had.
