Flippa Ball returns to Aquatic Centre
THE Clarence Aquatic Centre YMCA will again conduct the hugely successful southern primary schools’ Flippa Ball competition with the new 10-week competition beginning Friday 7 March from 6pm.
For those not familiar with Flippa Ball, one of the largest water sports for primary schools, the game is a modified version of water polo, played by grades 3 - 6 children, in the shallow end of the 50m pool.  Children can stand in the water and use two hands to catch the ball, but must pass with one hand.

Flippa Ball is an important tool in educating juniors in water safety and awareness.

The competition comprises  school teams of girls or boys or same sex teams, with a maximum 10 players, one of whom is a goalkeeper, in the water at any one time.

We accept individual entries who are then be placed into teams or make up a combined school team.

Information packs outlining all rules and regulations and registration forms are available from the Clarence Aquatic Centre YMCA, with all schools also receiving the information.

To give all children the opportunity to participate in this exciting sport, costs have been kept to a minimum with team registration only $80 and only $2.60 entry to players on the night.  All spectators are admitted free.

For any further information contact John Scatchard phone 6272 8077.
