FRESH Fruit Market, 19 Clarence Street at Bellerive (6244 2927) has a new name - The Foodstore Bellerive - and has applied for a liquor licence. Here's hoping nobody appeals the application. They are going to be offering quality wines, and the fresh fruit and veggies will keep on coming. AUSTRALIAN Hotels Association in conjunction with the Restaurant and Caterers Awards announced last month (see Ball and Chain above) and the Waterfront Hotel copped a couple of gongs, which was good to see. I think the Waterfront Hotel does a good job – pleasant staff in both dining areas, plus the bottleshop, and the gaming area (where you can go to read the papers). HEAT (5243 6440) the wood fired pizza place in Lindisfarne Village is adding some new goodies in December. Rob McLean is adding an Indian curry and a Thai curry, as well as more pasta dishes. It will be a good addition to his huge array of wood fired pizzas.
