Ashmore on Bridge Street, 34 Bridge St, Richmond (6260 2238)
SO much happening in Hobart and surrounds ... it's great! The new little cafe at Richmond, Ashmore on Bridge, was the venue for lunch on my return from the
big island to our north. It was delightful. We had two dishes - I ordered the garlic prawns and Lady Letitia opted for the beef curry. Both the dishes were terrific. The Matelot had been working on the renovations at the cafe and they discovered a beaut convict-brick wall. Decor is very nice, staff are attentive without being intrusive and we had a great time. We went to the Shoreline to the TOTE to watch a nag (still running) called Colum8 and did our dosh!

But it was a great way to spend an afternoon in the country. It is BYO, and they also have a coffee club - buy five, get the next one free. Ask at the counter for a coffee club card.
