HEAT

189a Derwent Avenue Lindisfarne 6243 6440

The Master Craftsman, the Matelot and I decided to pick up a pizza and some pasta from Heat for a lazy dinner watching TV. The gamberi picante pizza full of tiger prawns, basil, semi dried tomatoes and bocconcini cheese was delicious.

The Huon mushroom, bacon, spring onions, parmesan and garlic with pasta was excellent. The pasta dishes are new additions, and when we were there, the other choices in the sauces were Napoletana, or smoked salmon with gorgonzola cheese, spring onions, cracked pepper and parmesan cheese, or the good old Bolognaise zapped up with olives, and the sauce had been ovenbaked. All $12 for takeaway. R

ob McLean is doing a great job and Heat is open from 5 pm till 9 pm Tuesday to Sunday.
