Clarence to study coastal climate change impacts
A STUDY assessing the impacts of climate change on Clarence’s coastal areas will help other Australian councils understand their vulnerability to sea level rise associated with global warming and to prepare for potential impacts.

 
State’s first inter-high business tackles skills shortage

THREE schools across Tasmania are tackling the State’s skills shortages head on by joining forces to launch Tasmania’s first inter-school business.


Member for Rumney, Lin Thorp has officially launched Inter-high Enterprises, a collaborative school-based business developed by Materials Design and Technology students and teachers at Rokeby High School,  Campbell Town District High School and New Norfolk High School.


 
Clarendon Vale’s neighbourhood house spotlight
CLARENDON Vale Neighbourhood Centre, celebrated the recent Neighbourhood House week with a full week of programs on display.

Lots of people joined in the activities and new people visited the centre for the very first time.  

 
Comment invited on Risdon Brook draft plan
TASMANIANS have until Friday 1  August to comment on the Draft Risdon Brook drinking water catchment management plan, released recently by Hobart Water.

The draft plan was written in conjunction with a stakeholder group to identify potential risks to this large drinking water catchment and find ways to minimise them.
